Seventh Day
Monday June 16, we tried to sleep in, but not much luck. We automatically woke up at 5:30 and then stayed in bed till 6:30. Jon and Loanna and we had breakfast about 8 or 8:30 and visited awhile. Then the two of us went in to Silverdale to get fuel and try to find a few things at Costco. Amanda had served a great Raspberry Chipotle sauce over cream cheese on Saturday night. Carol also found the blouse she has been searching for at the Eddie Bauer outlet.
Then we hurried back to Seabeck to get ready for our guided boat tour around the Hood Canal. Loanna took us out to Dabob Bay which is the northern closed end part of the canal where they test the submarines and the torpedo range (when the warning lights are on). We saw sea lions, and lots of eagles, and snacked on blueberries and grapes, fresh mozzarella cheese and crackers, and fresh garden vegetables. Jon brought us back in via Pleasant Harbour. There were some unique boats in the slips and some floating cabins to rent at the end of the slips.
From there it was only about 15 minutes back to their waterfront, where we ate our dinner around the firepit down at the beach. (Baked chicken, potato salad and fresh from the garden green salad.
